As the title suggests “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k” A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life, is narrating about life with a more closer lenses taking through to acceptance to harsh facts of our lives as it is, to see the world with naked specs, and admire the beauty lies in this. The tale is closely achieving to revamp our life’s perspective to see it through with most practically, keeping you grounded and that it is not and cannot possibly to drive life on our whims and fancy. If you tend to feel everything around is very positive and good, you need to take a rain check.
The author Mark Manson who happens to be an American self-help author, blogger, and entrepreneur has well attempted to show us the flip side of when you keep pushing yourself to stay positive so you can find happiness, which is a wrong approach. For ages, we have been told that positivity is the way to rich, happy, and successful. It maybe is, perhaps applicable to some people as well. However, if we talk about 90% of all generations, you get to see people with so much and so many problems all around. Even if they attempt to be positive all the time, they need to do a reality check. It is not possible. Manson insists to analyze your limit, to face the flaws you have and must accept your things as it is.
Upon retrospection, we can get to know your life’s low priority and high priority which one’s matter; Manson makes clear, let’s not make your life a wild goose chase. He explained about 3 insights in book # 1 Be clear on your objective and find yourself, It is the most important onset of your life to find yourself. What you are, what you are good at and bad at. Once having clarity on this, you should have 2nd insights into THE PROCESS, that another most important facto, to follow your dream you need to have a clear path and diligently should follow it. Lastly, Manson emphasizes evaluating your limits and accepting your flaws with no shame and guilt. Human beings are limited and not everybody can be superman, We have people of all walks of life in the society, and once we able to embrace our fears, faults, and uncertainties, we stop running and avoiding and start confronting painful truths, we can begin to find the courage, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and forgiveness we seek. It is MUST read work which I highly recommend to today’s generation.
